Dinner Time

My Stove Top Tree may look small and in an odd place, but the oven is not hooked up yet due to more kitchen construction that won't be finished until after the new year.

The first meal from a dish is usually a pretty messy one with left overs for mom. Not with these guys. They were hungry! Then off to nap.

Puppy Update

The puppies have all grown so much they fill up their bed as you can see. They've opened their eyes in the last few days. At two weeks old their biggest activity is eating. By next week they will be moving around.

Black Friday

Black Friday has a different meaning here at Lymryk. Wanda had puppies ............. 10 of them. 5 boys, 5 girls. Most were black curly puppies, weren't they, Mr Big! There were also two brown puppies.

Barney's, Nordstroms, Zales, Chico's, Boscov's, Klienfield's, Cabela's, Saks, Sahalie, Dillards, Guess. All are doing well and Wanda is being a great mom..... Sleep is at a premium right now but will update with pictures as soon as I can.

Lois has decided they are pretty interesting ..... from a distance.

Spring Flowers

I thought it was appropriate to post pictures of my Spring flowers with my Bloomin Bunch.  I bought them a little early and Mother Nature has put us in the freeze zone at night for the last week.  I need a few more hanging baskets.  Maybe after the chance of last frost, which I hope will be very very soon. It's been a very very long cold winter.

The Bloomin Bunch is really growing. Still no eyes open, but they weigh between 4 & 5 lbs now. They are HUGE. I'll try to get individual pictures soon.

We would also like to introduce Spot's puppies. They were born quite suddenly Friday afternoon. As much to my surprise as hers (I think).  Puppies are usually born in the middle of the night when it's quiet and they can keep you up all night in case your services are needed.

We have Dick, Jane, Sally, Little Mew, Puff and Teddy (the bear) ! All are quite small, not as big as Wanda's Bloomin Bunch, but they will grow!.

Tropical Twist

Math not being my strong point (never could balance a checkbook) so I check, recheck and double check my math before I cut, sew and assemble.  Imagine my confusion when I started to assemble Tropical Twist and decided it was a whole row short!!!!!! How could that be? I counted, recounted, got out the calculator, recounted again. Still wrong. How could I be short a whole row of blocks.   I didn't realize until I hung it up today that I wasn't a row short, I added an extra row.   Math will always be a challenge.  This is the center with the correct number of rows. :-)))  It's very pretty, love the purples, blues and greens. They work well together.

While I was blog hopping today I found a wonderful story about dedication, determination, patience and encouragement of a couple working through a very very difficult injury that could have turned sour with one dying from their injury. The story is well written and is a real story of faith and love.-----------

--------- It proves again, Mother Nature knows best. I say Mother Nature because the main characters in this love story are not humans, they are geese that mate for life.  We humans could take some life lessons from our feathered friends. Please visit Char's blog and read her story, it's very heartwarming. If the link about doesn't work, her blog address is http://tchomestead-char.blogspot.com  The story is titled Dedication of Love

Mr. Big's Shopping Trip

I'm sure some PWD owners can relate to this.  Mr. Big helped himself to the good stuff while I was unloading the car!
